25 Years in Media

I have worked in the media for around 25 years as a sports journalist and broadcaster. Over the last decade I have also offered my services as a video journalist and MC. I remain available for freelance work across all of those disciplines.

Broadcasting

My broadcasting work covers both television and radio, including work with organisations such as Sky Sports and IRN.

Video Journalism

I completed my Diploma in Video Journalism in 2007 at the Press Association training headquarters in Howden, East Yorkshire, and followed it with an accredited Apple video editing course at Derby University in 2008. Since then I have worked freelance as a video journalist for Reuters, Sun TV, ITV.com and TheFA.com. I own my own broadcast-quality video camera and associated equipment.

Writing & Publishing

I am the author of several sports books, including a history of Sheffield Wednesday, the autobiography of Mel Sterland, a biography of Peter Swan, and titles in the Match of My Life series covering Sheffield United and Derby County.

Live Events

I am regularly asked to act as an MC at various events including sporting dinners and charity fundraisers. I particularly enjoy hosting Q&A sessions.
